Moist, Sweet & Filled with Cinnamon
When the weather cools down and the leaves start to change, all I want to do is bake something warm and comforting — and nothing hits the spot quite like this Fall Banana Bread. It’s soft, moist, full of banana flavor, and made extra cozy with a generous sprinkle of cinnamon.
This is the kind of banana bread that makes your whole house smell like fall. It’s easy, dependable, and the perfect way to use overripe bananas that are just sitting on your counter begging to be baked into something delicious.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
Incredibly moist from yogurt, bananas, and melted butter
Perfectly sweet (it really is dessert-worthy!)
A warm fall twist with cinnamon and vanilla
No mixer required — just a bowl and a whisk
Freezes beautifully for quick breakfasts or snacks
Ingredients
3–4 overripe bananas, mashed
½ cup yogurt (plain or vanilla both work!)
2 large eggs
1 stick (½ cup) melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon, depending on how cozy you want it
How to Make Fall Banana Bread
1. Preheat & Prep
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Grease a loaf pan (or two smaller ones).
Mash your bananas in a large mixing bowl. I like to use my kitchenaid to mix everything, but you can do it by hand too!
2. Add the Wet Ingredients
Stir in the yogurt, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
3. Add the Sugar & Cinnamon
Whisk in the sugar and cinnamon. Your batter should smell amazing already.
4. Add the Dry Ingredients
Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the batter, then gently fold in the flour. Mix just until combined — stopping as soon as you no longer see dry streaks.
5. Bake
Pour the batter into your prepared pan(s) and bake for 55–65 minutes, or until the center springs back and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
6. Cool & Slice
Let the loaf cool before slicing… if you can wait that long!
Fall Banana Bread Tips
Use very ripe bananas — the blacker, the better.
Don’t overmix once the flour goes in — that keeps the loaf soft.
Add-ins are welcome: chocolate chips, pecans, or a cinnamon-sugar swirl.
Double the recipe if you want one for now and one for the freezer.
A Slice of Fall Comfort
This Fall Banana Bread is one of those recipes you’ll find yourself making on repeat all season long. It’s the perfect afternoon snack, breakfast treat, or cozy dessert after dinner. Pair it with a cup of coffee or tea and you have pure autumn comfort.
